The youth work in the Circuit focuses on those aged between 11 and 18 years. It involves approximately seventy young people and is overseen by our Circuit Youth Worker Kirsty
Middlemist
.
Circuit-wide a number of events are organised on an annual basis. Each year the young people are offered an outdoor activity week away involving abseiling, kayaking, pony trekking, raft-building, bible study, discussion on issues important to them as well as a chance to meet young people from other churches in the Circuit.
"Space" meets every Friday night 7.00 -8.30 at east Finchley Methodist Church.
We also have our annual all age picnic where the adults and young people usually go head to head in a rounders match, and the summer youth Barbecue involving lots of food and silly games.
The piece de resistance is the annual Christmas Ball in December. Everyone dresses up for the occasion. There is a DJ, games and more food than you can imagine!
In addition there are trips to Breakout and Greenbelt during the summer months, for the hardy campers among us, where the young people can meet young Christians from all over the UK and sometimes beyond.
There is at least one Circuit confirmation course held each year and anyone who feels ready to make that commitment is welcome to take part. The course culminates in a celebratory confirmation service.
Each Church makes provision for teenagers in Junior Church. Please see their individual pages for contact details.
